The Jingzhou Customs under Wuhan Customs has issued a certificate of origin for the export of China Ecuador Free Trade Agreement to Jingzhou Aijie Daily Cotton Sticker Co., Ltd. The enterprise can enjoy a reduction of approximately 22000 yuan in import tariffs from Ecuador with this certificate. This is the first certificate of origin issued by Jingzhou since the China Ecuador Free Trade Agreement officially came into effect on May 1st.
Our company is mainly engaged in the research and development, manufacturing, and export of cotton swabs, cotton balls, and cotton pads, with products sold to more than 30 countries mainly in Europe and America. After learning that we had a batch of goods to be exported to Ecuador, the staff of Jingzhou Customs guided us to apply for a certificate of origin. With this certificate of origin, the tariff rate of our cotton swabs worth more than 140000 yuan was directly reduced from 15% to zero when we cleared customs in Ecuador. "Pan Juan, the sales department of Jingzhou Aijie Daily Cotton swabs Co., Ltd., said," It is expected that the company can obtain a tariff reduction of more than 200000 yuan throughout the year, which will greatly help us further develop the Ecuadorian market and enhance our influence in the Latin American market
It is reported that the China Ecuador Free Trade Agreement is the 20th free trade agreement signed by China with foreign countries, and Ecuador is also the fourth Latin American country to conclude a free trade agreement with China after Chile, Peru, and Costa Rica. According to the concession arrangement under the agreement, China and Ecuador will mutually cancel tariffs on 90% of tax items, of which about 60% will be immediately cancelled after the agreement comes into effect. When most of our domestically produced plastic products, chemical fibers, steel products, mechanical appliances, electrical equipment, furniture decoration, automobiles and parts enter the Eritrean market, tariffs will gradually be reduced or eliminated on the basis of the original 5% -40%.
In order to help Jingzhou enterprises seize orders, opportunities, and expand markets through the free trade agreement, Jingzhou Customs focuses on the actual needs of enterprises, conducts trade data screening, anchors targeted assistance for key enterprises, customizes the "optimal benefit combination", and guides enterprises to make full use of preferential policies such as tariff reductions and concessions under the free trade agreement through "online+offline" policy promotion and "targeted" policy promotion. Next, Jingzhou Customs will continue to improve the level of enterprise benefits, take the "dual intelligence" construction as the starting point, comprehensively promote reform and facilitation measures such as self-service printing, intelligent review, and independent declaration, and take multiple measures to help enterprises seize opportunities and expand their markets, serving the high-level opening and high-quality development of Jingzhou.
